So, I was painting Finding Nemo characters on the wall of the waiting room of my pediatrician's office and thinking... this is funny, how'd I end up here, doing this? All the time, all the years of hard work, and here I am... painting Disney/Pixar stuff on somebody else's wall. Dana took a picture and I uploaded it to my Facebook page and wrote "Yep, the degree I am working on is not an MFA... it's an MFN... a Master's of Finding Nemo degree!" And yet, even as I joked, I knew wouldn't trade anything of what I have. Here I am then, reminding myself that life is awesome... even when you're not doing exactly what you'd want to be doing... but, I AM DOING IT! Here is my lovely wife Dana, my awesome little man Kaden, and I am creating art... even if not my own characters at the moment, but it is still art. Time tells me that I am right WHEN I should be! :ahoy:
  • Listening to: Crazy neighbors, sounds like guns are comin'
  • Watching: My little man grow faster than I can freeze frame
  • Drinking: DiHydrogen MonOxide!

How old is Kaden by now?

Glad you're enjoying art school Aaron!

I'm doing okay. Working in a pharmacy as an administrative unfortunately, got a job, it's kinda cool. But still not a creative one. Not that i'm complaining. a job is better than no job Xp

A little over a year and a half and chattering like nobody's business. School is good, but taxing and I am looking forward to finishing soon. The market is tough right now, for all of us, and I have had to work over all of my breaks and travel quite a bit. Sounds fun, but it's not... sometimes you just want to take it easy for a bit, wake up late, read a book, play with your family... but, you're right, working is better than not ~ especially these days. Hopefully you're still finding creative outlets though... you cannot bottle it up for long! =P

Congratulations man. I spend a few years in an office staring at the monitor wondering "Where did it all go wrong? Is this what I should be doing?" Not once could I convince myself that the answer is "Yes", so after a few years, I went freelance.

The pay sucks, but by the Gods, it's worth every second. :D

Also, you should cut down on DiHydrogen MonOxide. That stuff's found in toxic wastes. Switch to the more naturally occurring Hydrogen Hydroxide instead. ;)

HaHa. I should update my journal. Working freelance isn't easy, but I agree with you... it's extremely rewarding and worthwhile.

And, HOH? Well, maybe, but I wouldn't want to throw my ions out of balance!

I don't think you need to worry about that. The natural fusion powered desalination process HOH undergoes in nature balances out all the imbalanced ions. Plus it's perfectly natural. :D
